About Dileep Bhalla

I am a post-graduate student who is passionately driven and experientially equipped to work within the vast world of public health and am keen on assisting all occupations in improving the health and safety atmospheres in which they work. As a young adult growing up in Toronto, Ontario I have had the privilege to explore a variety of careers involved in public health from volunteering at local hospitals to working as a camp counsellor ensuring campers remain safe day in and day out. I have also had the opportunity to gain insight into the legislative aspects of health and safety to ensure companies meet the requirements and standards necessary to maintain the safety of workers and clients alike. Ultimately, I have gained soft skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, excellent judgement in high pressure scenarios and clear oral and written communication from my work experiences. Through my educational career, I have also developed the hard skills necessary to excel in public health such as sampling techniques, chemical analysis, investigations and inspections, hazard identification, control implementation and thorough legislative understanding. These cumulative experiences have allowed me to fully realize my passions for public health and will accompany me into my future career. I also believe that proper workplace etiquette is a trait that all employers seek. My past employers, colleagues and professors can attest to my timeliness, organization and hard-work, all of which I am going to demonstrate as an employee. I am very much looking forward to pursuing a career in public health and hope that my past work and education shows that I am the person who can fulfill the criteria required from an occupational health and safety officer, manager or technician. I strongly believe that we are on the verge of a new era of public health, where both employees and employers are becoming concerned with how their practices impact the communities around them and the people they work with. I would love to be a part of this developing world and to help improve it in any and all ways possible.
