About Dillon Cross

Growing up I always questioned what my career would be and placed an immense amount of pressure on myself to figure it out. While searching for the answer, I worked in a variety of sectors that taught me many life skills: 1⃣ My time in the aquatic industry played a significant role in refining my teaching skills. Whether I was managing a group of children or leading a water aerobics course for seniors, I gained valuable experience in effectively connecting with individuals and conveying information in a meaningful way. 2⃣ I learned how to build rapport, trust, and loyal clientele through the hairstyling industry. I discovered that creating a positive and personalized experience for each client was crucial, even if it meant having those tough discussions (“Perhaps let's revisit the idea of getting a mullet?”). 3⃣ I understood how to be successful under pressure and stressful situations through officiating hockey. Imagine being in the middle of a heated game, making split-second decisions, and facing the wrath of a crowd of passionate fans. During these intense moments, I truly learned how to maintain composure and navigate through challenging circumstances. While searching for my career, I came to realize my purpose: To help people. In any capacity. I’m proud to say that I now get to do that everyday MC College! In my current role as an Enrolment Coordinator I’m able to draw from all of my past experiences and put my skills to use.
