I’ve always been drawn to puzzles and brain teasers. That’s exactly how I see tech. But getting into the industry wasn't easy. My first tech boot camp experience was rough, disorganized, discouraging, and left me feeling stuck. But instead of giving up, I kept pushing. I found my stride with Yellowtail.Tech, where I earned my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Security+, and AWS SysOps Administrator certifications. Along the way, I was recognized as Most Valuable Player (MVP) in Yellowtail Tech’s Cloud-for-Jobs Cloud Administrator program. Now, I specialize in cloud engineering, security, and automation, where I try to curb my insatiable appetite for solving puzzles/problems. Such as, Securing networks against DDoS attacks to troubleshooting and optimizing proprietary POS systems at Disney. Building & optimizing AWS environments with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes. Automating deployments & CI/CD pipelines so teams can ship faster with Jenkins, GitLab, and AWS CodePipeline. Locking down security by managing firewalls, IAM policies, and cloud compliance. Keeping systems running smoothly with Grafana and Splunk. I’ve learned that success in tech isn’t about having a perfect start. It’s about adaptability, persistence, and always being willing to LOCK IN.
