About Dillon Valadez
Hi everyone, I received my PhD in Economics from UC Irvine in 2020. I focused on Bayesian Econometrics and macroeconomics while I was there. My committee was chaired by three great econometricians and economists Ivan Jeliazkov, David Brownstone, and Eric Swanson. I loved working with these three guys and still miss the days when I could focus on research. I went on to teaching afterwards but moved on to the private sector. Now I'm working the mortgage industry and we have designed some pretty cool products at my current company. I was glad to work on Mizer, the automatic bidding optimizer, which was a big revenue booster for Amerihome. Still working on code in my free time. You can check it out at my repo. I have some C++ libraries that someone may want to use, like nonlinear optimization software implementing BFGS and currently working a little on some simplex routines.
