I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and have cultivated a dynamic career spanning communications, marketing, and community engagement. My diverse skill set includes writing, marketing, research, social media management, media relations, content creation, website development, project management, fundraising, storytelling, and administrative tasks. As the Communications Coordinator for the Midwives Association of British Columbia (MABC), I oversaw communications strategy, social media, email marketing, public relations, and daily website updates. I gained experience developing media materials, training members to engage with the media, and crafting social media campaigns that enhanced audience engagement. Each week, I delivered targeted email communications to keep members informed, while maintaining the organization's digital presence with timely updates. In this role, I also collaborated with an external PR team to enhance internal and external communications, refine social media strategies and presence, and strengthen media relations. Previously, I worked as a Fund Development & Community Engagement Officer, spearheading fundraising campaigns and communications strategies. My creative journey also includes contributing news stories to The Peak, SFU's campus publication, and collaborating with artists and Funktasy Records. At Funktasy, I facilitated music releases, optimized visibility on digital platforms, fostered partnerships with radio stations, and supported promotional campaigns that amplified artist reach. These experiences reflect my passion for creating impactful communication strategies, supporting organizational growth, and engaging audiences through diverse platforms.
