About Dimitra Missira

Dimitra Missira has over ten years of experience in international relations, policy, programme/project management and partnerships. Since 2015, when she entered the multi-lateral arena, Ms. Missira assumed progressively positions of responsibility spanned across diverse regions, namely at the International Dialogue Centre – KAICIID. Acting currently as the External Relations and Partnerships Officer at the Executive Office of the Secretary-General, Ms. Missira has been serving also as focal point for mainstreaming women empowerment. She is the Centre’s representative in international Working Groups (WG) on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment, including the Multi-Faith Advisory Council to the UN Inter-Agency Taskforce on Religion and Development (IATF-MFAC; 2021-ongoing), the G20 Interfaith Forum (IF20; 2021-2022) and acts as co-lead in the International Partnership on Religion and Sustainable Development (PaRD; 2022-ongoing). Prior to KAICIID, she worked and volunteered in diverse sectors, IGOs, NGOs, and national institutions in Greece, including the Hellenic Parliament which contributed to a cross-sectoral and comprehensive perspective in the areas of human rights with a focus on women, youth and migrants. She holds a BA on International and European Relations at the University of Piraeus and her Masters’ degree is on European Law and Policy at the Panteion University. Currently, she is undertaking a PhD on Migrant Women of Faith and integration ethics in Europe. Ms. Missira has developed research papers and publications on various topics and has been a member of a global Alumni network through her participation in Fellowships and other platforms.
