My educational focus is on the synthesis and characterization of polymer materials and their properties. My master thesis focused on the chemical modification (hydrolysis) of PMMA-co-PtBMA to PMMA-co-PMAA. The synthesis of these copolymers was carried out in order to use them as precursor materials for the preparation of polymeric membranes which will function as pH biosensors for the determination of biochemical markers in biological samples.
