About Dinesh Kumar Kesavan

I am an enthusiastic and passionate scientist interested in extracellular vesicles (vaccine development), exosomes (therapeutics) and biomedical and translational research. A fast learner with logical, organizational and technological skills and a passionate team player. My dissertation studies extracellular vesicles transport proteins and RNA from bacteria and other cells. As in the delivery of therapeutics, I am particularly interested in developing an extracellular vesicle used as a vaccine and biomarker for various infectious and cancerous conditions. Strength: Isolation and characterization of the molecular composition of extracellular vesicles from bacteria, and various cells, NGS analysis of DNA, transcriptomics analysis of small non-coding RNAs, and proteomics analysis of extracellular and intracellular proteins. Animal model studies. Long-term goal: develop a vaccine and biomarker using extracellular vesicles I am personally passionate about science, coordinated and self-motivated, and willing to adapt in a flexible way to circumstances. In cross-disciplinary teams and personally, I work well where I combine attention to detail with the disconnected ability to retain the general concept of the problem.
