About Dion Meere

I currently work as an environmental consultant for MTE Consultants. During my role I have conducted extensive field programs along with organization and implementation of environmental projects varying in scale and complexity. I am proficient with standard practise field equipment in the environmental industry (i.e, multi-parameter meters, low-flow/high-flow purge pumps, data logger installation, indoor air sampling chains, and surveying levels). The work has aided in my understanding of Ontario environmental legislation (i.e, O. Reg. 153/04, Excess Soil, PWQO, ECAs, PTTWs, and municipal sanitary and sewer by-laws). In addition, I have 5+ years of experience as a Senior Laboratory Technician/ Quality Assurance for Saputo Dairy where I continue to show a great attention for detail, a driven work ethic, and desire to benefit the overall team. As a quality assurance technician, I have great "real-time" decision-making abilities when problems arise, I have to communicate effectively so multiple departments can work seamlessly together, and I have to be proficient with Microsoft Office to help with SOP and report writing. I enjoy keeping up to date with science and discoveries through podcasts or reading articles and I am always trying to better myself, if that's through physical activity or learning new skills.
