About Dipti Singh

I am a healthcare professional with a strong foundation in Nursing and a focus on Gerontology, and Occupational Health & Safety Management. After completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I pursued a Post-Graduate Certificate in Gerontology Interprofessional Practice, and I am currently pursuing my Occupational Health and Safety Management studies at Western University. I gained significant experience in infection control and clinical nursing during my career. I worked in high-stress settings, such as the intensive care unit, emergency room, and general wards, as an infection control nurse in India. I was in charge of performing audits, making sure infection prevention procedures were followed, and managing medical waste in a safe manner. I gave direct patient care, administered medication, and monitored vital signs. My capacity to work well with interdisciplinary teams contributed to the improvement of patient care while maintaining strict safety standards. At the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), I volunteered with a visually impaired lady by providing companionship and fostering social connection. I assisted in program coordination and helped facilitate engagement activities, ensuring accessibility and inclusion at the hub. This experience enhanced my communication skills and deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with visual impairments. Inspired by empathy and a cooperative mind, I am a diligent, caring healthcare practitioner who is deeply committed to people care, safety, and creating inclusive settings.
