About Dipuo Moloto

I am a BCM, Risk and Resilience Specialist with +20 years exp. mostly spent in the financial services sector. I currently manage the Business Continuity branch within the City of Cape Town; this role reports to the Director Risk and Resilience in the Future Planning and Resilience Directorate. I previously worked for MarshSA as a BCM Specialist within Strategic Risk Cons. unit. Marsh planted the seed for Risk Consulting and BCM many years ago when I joined the Risk Consulting team as a Graphics Operator at a tender age of -20yrs I was also a BCM Coordinator with the IDC (2008-2014) coordinating BCM for both head office and regional offices; and BCM Subject Matter Expert at KPMG - Information Protection and Business Resilience (IPBR) unit from 2014-2016. I have a strong risk management foundation because I worked in the risk department most of my career; this also provided great ERM exposure over the years, which enabled me to perform in risk management training, auditing and advisory roles as a freelancer. I am passionate about the profession of Risk Management and of course, BCM, which is a crucial subset of Risk Management and I have grown vastly in these roles over the years. As a subcontractor with various auditing and consulting firms, I have audited, developed and project managed both Risk Management and BCM engagements. In addition to the various consulting engagements, I also joined the British Standard Institute (Bsi) as an external trainer. I have a strong understanding of risk related control frameworks such as ISO COSO, ITIL, COBIT, ISO 22301, ISO IRBC 27031, King IV and the BCI GPG.
