About Dirceu Emeterio

Nowadays I am Business Executive, but first a I started as a physicist with expertise in performing high-throughput data analysis in science. My interest in this field started in 1997 with the Space and Atmospheric Physics Group from Brazil, UK, and Slovak Academy of Science. This has led me from my initial training at one of the most important universities in Brazil, State University at Campinas (UNICAMP), as intern student scientist to currently business and entrepreneurship position. During the last eight years, I worked with a team developing a variety of computational tools to improve teaching and learning experiences for an educational group. I have also been responsible for the strategy, new business, and development of a team in FP & A as CFO. The diversity of my skillsets in multiple techniques from different fields of project management, financial, teaching and learning environment has been crucial for my recent success in manager a tech team. We have been working with developers on an educational software project which enable our sustainability during the pandemic period and now the software is used to improve de learning process. I have been also leading a financial team working on FP & A. I have been improving my skills on business since I left the university in 2001 when I started to work on banking market at Citigroup and afterwards at Itau Unibanco. Through almost 9 years I was trained and certified on business skills and tools as SQL queries as well as I had opportunity to work developing strategy on credit policies, building a FP & A team on investment consultancy department and managing the pricing team of credit products. It has allowed me to bring a highly multidisciplinary angle to business and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, it has provided me with the relevant tools to readily learn new techniques and transition into new directions, which has been central to my ongoing work aimed to improve big data and data Science on business and innovation. That is why I have done my master’s degree in ST & I focus on Design, Technology, Implementation, Prospective and Policy Evaluation at the State University of Campinas – UNICAMP since 2021.
