About Dirk de Wit

Strategic Advisor | Partner | Digital Transformation in Healthcare | Bridging Policy and Practice For over twenty years, I’ve been involved in transformation and innovation across the public domain, with healthcare as my main field of work. I’ve worked as a strategic advisor, program manager and interim executive, and since 2008 also as a partner in consulting firms. Currently, I serve as managing partner at Bvolve – a consultancy focused on digital transformation and organizational development. My strength lies in connecting strategy with execution, always with a strong sense of governance, people and long-term societal impact. I operate comfortably at the intersection of policy, data, process and technology, and believe in thoughtful change – not just the next structural reform, but impactful principles, shared choices and smart innovation. I started my career in academia, earned my PhD on the interaction between technology and organization, and have published widely on knowledge management, process thinking and digitalization in healthcare. My style? Calm, analytical and connecting – with an eye for context and nuance. Since 2016, I’ve been primarily active in the healthcare domain, advising organizations such as the Dutch Ministry of Health, Nictiz, Espria, Diakonessenhuis and the Dutch Tax Administration. I’m a member of the Architecture Council for the national health information system, and co-author of Smart Humanity – Humanity in Digital Times (KNVI, 2025).
