About Dirk Grasmueck

I could generate in very many projects in various areas a lot of additional revenues or reduce costs: Discover opportunities or hidden potential, cross- and up-selling marketing campaigns, churn reduction, pricing models, process optimization, risk reduction, risk early warnig, or developed a tool which enabled collateral lending (many months before IT was ready). The idea to put all your data in a machine and then the machine provides you automatically with all the relevant business insides is not realistic. There a too many hidden traps and missed opportunities you will face. However, the use of data mining tools is crucial for your future success. But how to bridge the gap? One key factor is a diversified analytics team which is well embedded within the organization. Prerequisites are a very good business knowledge about products and markets, sophisticated technical and analytical skills to take the maximum out of the best data mining tools and algorithms, and a lot of creativity to connect these two worlds. We have to juggle with all the components. Therfore I call myself a data artist (instead of data analyst or data scientist) and I developed an own data analytics framework.
