About Dirk Moro

Dirk Moro - Diplom-Chemiker, Software Developer, Published Scientist ‍ Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I'm Dirk, a blend of science enthusiast, tech geek, and creative thinker. With a Diplom in Chemistry from the Technische Universität Berlin and a vibrant career in software development, I've enjoyed a journey filled with innovation and discovery. My professional saga spans roles like Software Engineer, Head of Research and Development, and Software Developer at BITS-Servicezentrum Universität Bielefeld. I've led teams in managing complex software systems and have contributed to the realm of online market research with my expertise in diverse programming languages and platforms. Highlight of my career? Co-authoring the article "Chiral Order from Achiral Molecules" with Gerd Heppke in Science Magazine (Vol 279, Issue 5358, pp. 1872-1873, March 20, 1998). This piece stands as a testament to my passion for intertwining the wonders of chemistry and the precision of programming. When not decoding the world of codes and molecules, I embrace the melodies of life with my guitar and bass, explore the skies through model flying, and find balance on horseback. These hobbies aren't just pastimes; they're extensions of my belief in a well-rounded, creative approach to problem-solving. I believe in continuous learning, sharing knowledge, and the power of collaboration. Whether it's developing innovative software solutions or exploring the mysteries of science, I am always on the lookout for the next challenge. Let's connect and explore how we can inspire each other in this fascinating journey of growth and discovery!
