I’m the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of DHL Express, the world’s leading international logistics provider. Our purpose as a company is to ‘connect people and improve lives.’ Information technology and digitalization are vital if we’re to deliver on our purpose in today’s world. They are an essential part of our customers’ and employees’ daily lives and an integral part of our business practices. With technology reshaping industry globally, as CIO I have been driving our company to take IT and digitalization to the next level with a new strategy. We want this to build an IT platform that transforms the potential of logistics for our customers and the way our DHL colleagues interact, innovate and work. At DHL Express, we believe technology is key to advancing our product and service innovation and, in recognition of this, our Group’s 2025 strategy is called ‘Delivering excellence in a digital world’. I’m proud to be playing an integral part, collaborating with other business areas to uncover new ways technology can help achieve business objectives and grow our top and bottom lines. As for my background, I’m an experienced Chief Information Officer with a long history of working in the logistics and supply chain industry, being a CIO at country, regional and global levels for over 20 years. I’m a strong advocate of health and wellbeing, both at home and at work, and a keen runner. In fact, I’m nearly as passionate about running as I am about IT. I can often be found pounding around the park, proudly wearing my favorite ‘I Love IT’ t-shirt!
