She is an experienced Clinical Research and Operations Professional, an excellent team player, and a hard-working results-oriented leader. She is a graduate with a Master's in Public Health from the New York University School of Global Public Health with a focus on Global Health. She was a student ambassador for the NYU MPH program, Graduate leader for the Center for Student Life, and Co-founder and Co-president of the NYU International Student Society. Disha was a Graduate Research Assistant at Dr. Emmanuel Peprah's Implementing Sustainable Evidence-based Interventions through Engagement (ISEE) lab at NYU. She's a highly-driven, goal-oriented, and talented global health advocate passionate about addressing systemic gaps to promote Universal Health Coverage and Equitable access. During her time at grad school at NYU, she interned at The Access Challenge which works in Collaboration with WHO, African CDC, and African Union, on the OnebyOne: Covid-19 campaign which aims to leverage the Covid-19 pandemic as a catalyst to advocate for Universal Health Coverage in Africa. She also worked at ContraCovid-19, a student-led organization started by Harvard Students to mobilize resources and efforts across various states. Disha worked for the New York State team, to link the essential resources and social services to the disproportionately impacted Latinx and immigrant population. At Broadstreet+Covid-19 Project- an organization started during the death of the pandemic, she helped with data collection of the total confirmed and probable positive Covid-19 cases and deaths across states and counties in the United States of America. She was also a part of the Outreach communications and the community health needs assessment special projects.
