Currently working as a Junior Research Fellow for Gujarat Cancer Society funded projects in Molecular Diagnostic & Research of Cancer Biology Department, The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute. Project Activities: The entailed project related work like sample collection, running PCR assays, data collection and management and assisting in analysis & project report preparation. Molecular Diagnostic/Clinical Activities: Quantitative analysis of Major BCR-ABL fusion gene, minor BCR-ABL fusion gene and PML-RAR fusion gene by RT-PCR, Qualitative assays of JAK-2 V617F mutations and C-Kit D816V mutation by Real-Time PCR. FLT-3 ITD and D835 mutation detection by PCR-RFLP method. Detection of HPV type 16 and 18 by type specific End- Point PCR. Academic Activities: Conducting practical to MSc Cancer Biology students. Theoretical and practical demonstration of various molecular biology, molecular diagnostics, and biomedical techniques based on it to students who came as observers from different institutes and universities. Also participating in teaching Molecular Diagnostic tests to DM Onco-pathologists for their Course-work. Apart from these, actively involved in laboratory management and NABL documentation. Worked in COVID-19 Lab of The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Ahmedabad, Gujarat for Testing CORONAVIRUS from Patients Suffering from Respiratory Infection by RT-PCR and Gained Good Experience on Processing Viral Samples, RNA Extraction, Amplification and Documentation Work. Awarded for “Best Poster Presentation” in the CARCINOGENESIS 2019 conference: “Clinical Relevance of Tobacco Exposure in Oral Cancer.” Awarded for “Employee of the month” (January, 2016) for my up to the mark performance through the month at X-Plant Company of, Xavier’s Research Foundation, St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India Awarded Menaxi Lalit Science award in 2016. Invited as a guest & felicitated by M.B. Patel School, Gandhinagar, Gujarat for Celebration of Women Empowerment under Ministry of Women and Child Development, India (2019) Participated in Dr. T. B. Patel Young Scientist Research Medal Competition held on April 18, 2022 as part of hospital week celebrations in The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute. Contributed to the achievement of the Vibha Mehta Trophy for Meritorious Performance & Research Publication for the Year 2019 & 2020 conferred to Molecular Diagnostic & Research The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute. Currently working on Tobacco Exposure in Oral Cancer and Therapeutic Aspects in Blood Malignancies
