About Divakar Ravi Kumar

With a technical background in nanotechnology (BTech) and organic electronics (MSc), I have successfully transitioned into the field of bioinformatics and computational biology, bringing a fresh interdisciplinary perspective to life sciences research. Currently, as a Research Associate at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), I focus on developing computational tools and models to support cancer research. My work includes-Building scalable Nextflow pipelines for high-throughput genomic data analysis -Designing AI-driven models to simulate and predict ferroptosis-related cellular mechanisms -Developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) agents for knowledge integration in biological research -Engineering machine learning models to identify potential drug candidates based on gene expression profiles -Constructing deep learning architectures for segmentation of histopathological images -Implementing molecular dynamics simulations and ligand docking workflows in Python to analyze protein structures This shift has allowed me to combine my strong foundation in mathematical modeling and systems thinking with cutting-edge technologies in AI, machine learning, and genomics, all aimed at addressing meaningful challenges in computational oncology and molecular biology. I'm passionate about leveraging data and automation to drive discovery and improve biological understanding through computational approaches.
