About Divya Barot

From the time I got into the world of accounting, I was interested by numbers telling their story uncovering financial insights, managing risk, or optimizing business decisions. Currently a final-year BBA Accounting student at Sheridan College, I am very enthusiastic about interpreting financial data and applying technology to enhance better decision-making. With hands-on experience in SAP, Power BI, Sage 50, and Excel, I have worked on financial reporting, risk analysis, and data visualization projects that strengthen my analytical mindset. I like solving complex financial challenges and furthering my knowledge continuously about Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, International Financial Reporting Standards, and taxation for accurate and strategic decision-making. Apart from academics, I was also provided with opportunities to experience leadership, team management, and operational management roles, which further developed my problem-solving skills, adaptability, and communication. I want to pursue the CPA designation and eventually make a career out of this to assist businesses with confidence through their financial complexities.
