As with many careers an early start is essential. Basic education begins by viewing structures our own environment. Being able to "see" structures, their special arrangements and overall designs is a talent an architect must possess. Skilled eyes become sensitive to color, shape and texture. All these aspects of the entity reflect upon a person's feelings when they interact with the structure. Effective Architects analyze both those negative as well as positive feelings and tie them into their design elements. Visiting architectural design studios and local firms are excellent ways to become familiar with the nature of the work. Magazines and books are also very informative and a great source for a broad understanding. As time progressed, I began to be intrigued by how building could affect the way we live, our mood and behavior. We spend most of our lives in buildings – through architecture you I influence the way people live their lives for the better. Also the building industry has ability to influence CO2 emissions, so I have the opportunity to reduce negative impacts upon the environment through design. I learnt a huge range of skills, from technical drawing and construction skills I need to know how things go together on site through to conceptual and creative skills. It carries a level of education superior to that of many other choices, but yet not requiring excessive years of specialized schooling. To excel in the field one must possess an understanding of physics, creativity, & good leadership qualities. Because of charging technological advances the drafting aspect of this field has been minimized to make room for more precise Computer Aided Design and Drafting (C.A.D.D.). The ruler and pencil have become obsolete in architecture today. Experience will be a determining factor in obtaining high-end positions.
