About Divya Mathew

I am a Community and Justice Services graduate from Sheridan College, where I explored a variety of topics related to supporting vulnerable individuals and those involved in the justice system. I have gained invaluable insights into abnormal psychology, addictions and mental illness, criminology, crisis intervention, harm reduction, and anti-oppressive framework, among others. I am also certified in First Aid CPR-C AED, which enhances my ability to respond to emergencies and provide care to those in need. In addition to my studies, I have completed a placement with Victim Services of Peel at the Brampton Courthouse, where I observed bail court proceedings, recorded court data, and advocated for victims' rights. This experience allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and develop my interpersonal, problem-solving, and database management. Currentl, I am working as a Peer Support Worker with LOFT Community services and Central Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO). I am passionate about making a positive impact in the community especially among the Youth and Adolescent crowd using personal lived experiences with Mental health. I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and explore opportunities to collaborate and learn more!
