Background

About Divya Nagarajan

With over six years of work experience in molecular biology and immunology research, I am passionate about exploring the molecular mechanisms of cancer and developing novel therapeutic strategies. As a Researcher at Uppsala University, I am currently investigating the tumour-intrinsic resistance mechanisms in neuroblastoma against a-PD1 blockade therapy, using cutting-edge techniques such as whole-genome CRISPR screens and CRISPR-Cas gene editing. I am motivated by the challenge and potential impact of this research, and I value the collaborative and innovative culture of the university. Prior to joining Uppsala University, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Karolinska Institutet, where I studied the role of de-ubiquitinating enzymes in metabolism of lung adenocarcinoma. I used cell and enzyme-based assays, cell culture and siRNA lipofection, and immunoprecipitation to elucidate the molecular pathways and interactions involved in this process. I also contributed to publications in peer-reviewed journals, demonstrating my communication and analytical skills. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to new research questions and projects, and to collaborate with other researchers and experts in the field.
