About Divya Niveditha

I am currently working as a Principal Project Associate in Genomic Sequencing surveillance at CSIR- National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. As a part of this position, my responsibilities involved supervising a team of researchers and providing my technical contributions for big data analysis of the experimental datasets, maintaining program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives, developing program assessment protocols for training and evaluation, overseeing multiple project teams, brainstorming, planning the project, Scheduling, and designation of project tasks to team members. I finished my doctoral program in the field of Bioinformatics in the Department of Biological Science at BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus). My research there involved in understanding the regulatory mechanism of human miRNAs and their usage as a therapeutic and diagnostic tool for cancer. My research work leads to publications in different international journals of repute, including Scientific Reports, Diabetologia, BMC, Bioinformatics, etc. My research and Post Ph.D. work experience lead to establishing skills in modeling and simulation of molecular interactions; processing and analyzing raw data from NGS, identification of Variants, usage of various sequencing tools, and analysis and interpretation of data with programming skills in R and python. Optimization of protocols and gaining hands-on skills in molecular biological techniques. Specialties: NGS, Mutational studies, Phylogenetics, Translational Research, RNA-Seq whole transcriptomic analysis, WGS analysis, Biomarker studies, Drug discovery and treatment, Machine learning, Functional Enrichment analysis, Network and Spatial distribution studies.
