About Divya Sahore

Physician Assistant and Master of Public Health candidate graduating in January 2020 with interests in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, and inpatient medicine. As a PA student, I have learned how to assess acute and chronic illnesses, obtain medical and psychosocial history and perform physical examination, order and interpret lab and imaging studies, obtain consults or referrals when necessary, prescribe medications, and counsel patients and families. I am BLS and ACLS certified, a member of AAPA, and adept at utilizing EPIC, MediTech, Centricity, and DocuTAP medical record systems.I did 2 months of International elective rotation experience in South Africa from Aug-Sep 2019. Learned in-depth about the public health issues plaguing South Africa and how diseases such as advanced HIV, TB, hepatitis, complicated meningitis and malaria are diagnosed and treated. In addition to acquiring medical and clinical skills, I conducted a mixed-methods study on the patient logging tool utilized by Clinical Associate Students at the University of Witwatersrand.Languages: fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi. Proficient in Spanish.
