About Divya Thomas

A storyteller at heart, my career has been focused on leveraging quantitative data and qualitative insights to build brands, marketing strategies, customer journeys and communications campaigns. My roles at Ogilvy (NYC and London) and Purpose (India) have been especially rewarding. I’m also a HarperCollins published Children’s Writer focusing on changing the narrative. I love stories in all their forms - films, books, social, data, campaigns. With an extensive and exhilarating agency roster of Fortune 500 clients, I spent nearly a decade at OgilvyOne, Ogilvy - first in NYC and then in London. After returning to India, I lead a consumer goods Tex-Mex brand, before I shifted my attention to purpose driven work. My work in social impact began with Campaign Communications at Dasra to empower adolescent girls in vulnerable communities across India. Following this, as Campaign Director and on the leadership team at global creative agency Purpose PBC, I was deeply invested in leading and creating campaigns to build movements in gender and climate verticals, across a multitude of issue areas. Now at VML Lisbon, I bring my experience and knowledge together to accelerate and transform international clients' brand and businesses. I'm passionate about the convergence of creative content, data and technology to drive customer engagement and behaviour, underpinned by ongoing measurement and optimization. I’m equally enthusiastic about making work fun and achieving goals as a team!
