About Divya Venkatesh

I currently work as a Patient Registration Specialist at Fort Loudoun Medical Center. In May of 2023, I graduated with a Marketing degree with a concentration in entreprenuership from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. My strengths include but are not limited to communication, leadership, and creativity. First, I have worked as a sales and marketing intern for Greek House. This position taught me the importance of developing a one on one relationship with customers and truly listening to what customers are looking for before providing them with a solution. At UTK, I was very involved in student life on campus. I was able to grow professionally through joining Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, where I served as an internal diversity chair and fashion apparel chair during my senior year. I was also a team leader and student office assistant as a part of the UTK Jones Center of Leadership and Service and Ignite Leadership Programs, where I learnt emotional intelligence and communication skills. Outside of my professional life, dance is a huge part of who I am as a person. I was heavily involved in Mayuri, UTK's Premiere Bollywood Fusion Dance Team and took on managerial and presidential duties during my 4 years with the team (2019-2023). During my senior year, I was also a group fitness instructor at UTK RecSports, where I taught Zumba as well as Desi Dance classes. After graduating, I have still kept up with dance through various performances in my hometown. Watching people grow through dance is something has made my dance journey so rewarding. Taking part in leadership taught me how to be motivated, organized, and hard working. I have the privilege of being around such amazing people that inspire me to push myself to my maximum potential. I am looking to expand my skill set and gain knowledge of the business field as a whole.
