As an accounting leader, I have a track record of consistently meeting stringent deadlines, clearing rigorous external audits, and improving accounting team efficiency. I achieve this by modernizing accounting systems, instituting robust internal controls, and ensuring compliance with emerging regulations as well as best practices. Throughout my career, I directed accounting teams that delivered month-end close and financial reports within truncated timeframes. For instance, at Amtex, I met 100% of the deadlines for forecasts, P&L reports, and month-end closing while managing the records of three organizations, i.e. Amtex, Axis Global Solutions, and Infiniti Brands. Similarly, I achieved all deadlines while filing sales tax returns for 50 states as well as Puerto Rico. A key reason for my success is my unique ability to look at the big picture and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. For example, at Amtex, I halved the time needed for AP and AR management by spearheading accounting system automation initiatives, including the migration to Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) and digital invoice processing. Likewise, I sped up the filing of sales tax returns by introducing Avalara. Another reason for my success is my detail-oriented nature, which I cultivate in my direct reports as well. This is best exemplified by my career at Amtex, where I promoted a culture of ownership and established a policy of meticulously verifying financial data before recording it. This, in part, enabled us to maintain accurate records and pass all external audits, including bank and sales tax audits.
