About Diya Varma

Hi, I'm Diya Varma, an Illustrator and visual designer. Illustration and music are two of my closest friends who have helped me through out any instability and fickleness in life. My 26 year old brain does not think of art as a job or even a hobby, but as a lifeline and support system. Not to sound too dramatic but have you watched the movie, Ratatouille? Mesmerised by the food combinations, the same transpires within me when seeing colours. I think one is inspired by almost everything from the tiny ink blob to a wrinkle on elephant skin. Originality and creativity comes from the most random and something already derived. My interest in illustration, be it characters, photo realistic portraits/sketches or anything which showcases my skillset has always been there, practically my whole life. Children's Book Illustrations, Graphic Tee Art and Caricatures are also some areas I am working towards. I write poetry as well which gives me a sense of freedom through words which sometimes I can't express through art. Let me put your thoughts onto paper and you will not be disappointed:)
