About Dmitrii Fedorov

I am an architect, designer, maker, and draftsman who navigates the territory between the workshop- the place of production -and the studio, home to the digital realm. Before was practicing as an architect in St Petersburg and was no Project Tutor on the Design+Make course at the Architectural Association. Before joining the AA community, I had worked on the conceptual development of luxury villas, airports, and masterplans scattered across various European countries. In parallel to this collaboratory role, I evolved a private practice through designing and constructing rural structures, creating and supervising classical art, and participating in publicity and visual experimentation. His current interests are in the translation of sustainable economic value into spacial and material development through architectural practice. I am an Architectural Association alumni, and my distinction at D&M MArch yielded inventions in digital fabrication, round wood connection, and assisted-assembly structures. His mission to evolve and disseminate the ethos of the woods continues in a variety of roles- design tutor, robotic developer, WoodLab researcher, and administrator.
