About Dmitry Baryshev

As a Senior Wells Engineer at bp, I am part of bp Global Central technical organization responsible for delivering drilling engineering and operations solutions for all bp regions. I have over 12 years of industry experience in major international projects, working with leading oil and gas companies such as bp, ExxonMobil and ADNOC Offshore. I have a strong background in extended reach drilling (ERD) and complex wells delivery, having planned and executed some of the world's longest and most challenging ERD wells on Sakhalin and Upper Zakum fields. I have also led innovative and cost-effective solutions for well design, performance improvement, and technology implementation such as multi-lateral well drilling. I also have an experience of performing P & As, slot recoveries and workover related activities. I hold an IWCF Well Control Level 4 certification, Petroleum Engineering and MBA degree, and have contributed to an SPE publications on a novel method for differential sticking detection and make up torque improvements for ERD operations. My mission is to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable wells that meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
