About Dmitry Burlyaev
An enthusiastic chemist & formulation scientist with almost 6 years of experience in industry and R&D. My goal is to research the new approaches in the food & pharm technology and also in analytical chemistry, to participate in the development of new products in order to improve their quality, safety and availability for people. Worked in Start-up Company in nutrients microencapsulation technology development for food applications and performed analyses of products (HPLC, UV, KF). As a formulation scientist I took part in the pre-formulation, development and optimization technology of the generics, scale-up and transfer it to industrial production, including high-shear granulation (HSG), fluid-bed granulation (FB), direct compression (DC) and dry granulation (DG)/ compaction technology. Drugs: atazanavir, raltegravir, piracetam, moxonidine, sitagliptin. Two of the drugs are in the transfer stage, and one – in the industrial production. All projects included working with experimental designs (Plackett-Burman, Box–Behnken designs), analytical data, writing protocols and reports, and interacting with manufacturing plants: including troubleshooting cases from production, introduction of API from an alternative manufacturer etc. My favorite hobbies: acoustic guitar (professional fingerstyle playing), sport (grappling, jiu-jitsu, MMA), writing (my first book published in 2022).
