There is no “perfect moment” for changes, no matter how strong beliefs are. So, I’ve finally decided that it’s time to act. On full scale. Hello! My name is Dmitry Ibragimov, I’m a software engineer. It’s funny that I didn’t write a single line of code until the university, where my favorite professor introduced me to Pascal. And it was the moment when I knew: programming is amazing! Have to say, that I always keened on video games, consoles, electronic devices, computers, but never tried to “train” it to do something for me, only altered (experimented with different firmwares for smartphones, for example). Soon I discovered that it’s not enough for me just to make it work, the code also must be clean and pretty inside, no matter only I and a few people can see it. That was the trait, that I carried and improved through time. Now, let’s move to the present. My professional skillset includes backend software development using Java (6+ years, Spring, Akka, PostgreSQL), Docker, CI/CD basic setup (AWS, Azure), frontend development using TypeScript (Angular), JavaScript, HTML+CSS. I developed server applications for mobile games, stock exchanges, marketplaces. As pet projects I worked on a game engine using C++, various web applications. The greatest challenge, later transformed into my greatest achievement, is creation of a full-scale backend application for a multiplayer mobile game from scratch. That was the ultimate test for my skills. I was hired as the only backend developer for a growing startup project, that wanted to transform their initial prototype into something scalable, modular and robust, capable of handling real users load. This milestone was successfully achieved, proving my abilities for myself in the first place.
