About Dmitry Shikov

I started my career as a NOC engineer working for a big international internet provider. But I soon realized that I would like to apply my skills in another sphere. So, I chose software engineering and a very expressive and laconic language - Java. I like it for enabling me to build a strong and beautiful code supporting a huge variety of modern frameworks and technologies. If we talk about my personal aspirations - I can't imagine my life without thought-provoking things. Whether it's philosophy lectures or IT courses. I like to take responsibility and make a deal with unknown tasks and raise competence. In our team I am responsible for implementing new business features in the code, deploying application's modules and troubleshooting connected with our Kubernretes cluster. I find it very inspiring that over 2 million people use our mobile application every day. So far I familiar with following stack of technologies described below: • Java 8-15, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Gradle, Groovy • GitLab, CI/CD, Jenkins • SQL and NoSQL DB • Kubernetes, Docker, Unix/Network administration
