About Dom Armstrong

I am recognised as a decision maker and problem solver with a can do approach, consistently delivering on time and to the highest standard. I always ensure Health and Safety is my number one priority in the workplace and this is something I feel very passionate about. I am working towards becoming a general manager. When working as part of a team, I have always found myself being the leader, taking control is always something that has fell naturally with me. My years of experience all started by securing myself a apprenticeship, working for a fast paced construction company. I was based in a workshop, repairing all the company vehicles which then led onto the company's plant. I found working on the plant was a lot more for me. Shortly after I was then moved into the companys newly opened 'Tool and Plant Depot', I continued working there throughout my apprenticeship before unfortunately being made redundant due to the company being taken over. Heartbroken with losing one of the biggest achievements, and with the thurst for knowledge still needing to be forefilled I managed to gain a position with a nationwide hire company, the wide range of equipment soon not only gave me experience and knowledge but also tricks of the trade. I've been in the plant and tool industry 10 years now, working up the ranks and trying to prove myself to be one of the best. I have encountered 2 set backs in my journey but it has not stopped me trying to make something of myself. I've served my time with several major hire providers, I am currently with Nixon Hire based in Carlisle. Thank you so much in taking the time to read my summary.
