About Dom Pizzarella

A motivated and hardworking individual with passions for biomedicine, space exploration, and inspiring the next generation of scientists.” I am an undergraduate Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry major with interests in biomedical research and space exploration. On campus, I serve as the President of Northeastern University’s Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). With this role, I strive to provide support and a community to all Northeastern ChemE’s, and to give back to the surrounding communities through STEM outreach programs. I am also part of the Koppes Lab research team which has provided me experience with organ-on-chip, tissue engineering, and biomaterial characterization. Aside from academics, some of my hobbies include exercising, stargazing, snowboarding, and hiking. After graduation, I hope to enroll in a PhD program to strengthen my research abilities and to follow my passion for advancing biomedical technologies to allow people to live longer, healtheir lives.
