About Dominic Sutton

I'm currently taking a sabbatical from the (health) food retail business to help out at Soundgas selling vintage recording studio gear and music equipment in beautiful rural Derbyshire. I've always had a parallel life in music since university and this new role is a chance to work in that area and to pursue some interests (like music production) that I have not had the time to get into up until now. I'm still involved with Mother Earth but not on a day to day basis. 17 years in retail and. well, let's just say you need a break. This was my blurb while running the shops (it still stands, I'm just doing something else for a bit): I'm interested in food: knowing where it is coming from and where it is going to (and not just my stomach). I particularly enjoy working with new suppliers and producers; people producing and selling locally, working small, and innovating. I'd like to do more of this. I also know how to make a shelf look really, really neat (and everything else you need to know to run a successful, happy shop). And I've designed a couple of shops, and there's loads more I should list here and I'm sure I will when I get a moment.
