About Don Bachner

As a Training Systems Integrator and Subject Matter Expert at Boeing, I help design and deliver e-learning and simulator training based on Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA). CBTA is a standard that enhances pilot skills in problem-solving, decision-making, situation awareness, communication, leadership, teamwork, and workload management, following the guidance of ICAO. My mission is to create more competent and resilient pilots who can operate safely and efficiently in the ever-changing, high-demand, commercial aviation environment. I have over 40 years of experience in the aviation industry, with flight hours as an Airline Transport Pilot, a Flight Instructor, a Corporate Pilot, and a Charter Pilot. I hold multiple certificates and ratings, including a Type Rating for Lear Jet 55, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Science from The Ohio State University. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise with the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals.
