Hello, Here's a little about me.I've got 32 years as a Mill and Lathe setup operator. Covering a variety of CNC mills and lathes. I have worked in aerospace, firearms and defense industries.I started in 1993 in deburring and worked my way to the Lead CNC Mill setup operator. I went to trade school. I'm G&M code proficient. I can write Mill programs and basic lathe programming.I'm good at setup documentation such as Fixture location on table-X-Y, and -Z- locations and tool list needed for job.I like to include this info in the program header as well. I own all my own tools everything from bore gauges, pin gauges and jo-blocks.Over the years when offered free classes I took the advantage.Classes such as GD & T and 80 hours of mid-Management class. My latest was a 10hr Osha class last year 2024. Even though you see a lot of "production" running I have been involved in prototype jobs involving 1-2 parts with no material to lose and tight tolerances.
