The key issue that we’re focused on is mental health support for military service members, veterans, and their family members. For the past few years, I’ve coordinated the development, facilitation, and implementation of a model for mental health crisis system change in localities across the country. Working with interagency teams within cities and counties nationwide, we develop plans for more collaborative information flow and the application of best practices within these systems. Several of these interagency teams are have realized meaningful outcomes for their servicemember and veteran communities as a result.
