About Don Johnson

A very eventful athletic career has taught me an understanding to love the game and to spread that enjoyment and competition to others. The competition and teamwork have always drawn me into sports and now I plan on continuing on a professional side. While I have played a multitude of sports including hockey, lacrosse, and golf that only furthered my understanding of how important sports are. The variety of sports taught me a good work ethic, leadership, and perseverance. As a first-year at North Carolina State University, I am growing both personally and professionally in my first semester outside of community college and high school. As a first-year student in Sport Management, I have a lot to learn I am also a blank canvas, I have little experience working in sports I have over seven years of coaching experience from volunteer positions to paid skills coaching. As a student, I have learned how to work well with others, furthered my research skills, and became a better version of myself. Through this mix of coaching, playing, and being a student, I have come to build skills that I can carry with me forever. This mix has taught me time management skills, organizational skills, and communications skills that I can use in any job in any setting. While my professional experience in sports may lack, I have a variety of knowledge and skills that are almost as valuable as work experience.
