Jóvenes Adelante is a non profit NGO that provides opportunity for students locally to achieve socio-economic mobility through higher education. Located in San Miguel de Allende,Guanajuato, Mexico, the 20 year old NGO provides scholarships, mentors, computers, life skills, counseling and professional credentialing opportunities to over 100 students. In 2015 I relocated to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico after living both in Los Angeles and Spain for many years. While actively continuing to sing and act, I was drawn to the enormous power that higher education provides to young Mexican students. As President and Fundraising-Development Director, I have successfully secured the organization's financial stability, while steadily transitioning the organization through an expansion of capacity, number of students served, and towards a staff-driven governance model for the board. Jovenes Adelante AC is affiliated with Jovenes Adelante US, 501 (c) 3 and Amistad Canada. As a singer, I still perform regularly both in Mexico and Spain.
