About Don Patin
I began my professional career in 1988 as a field claim representative in East Texas. I handled property and casualty losses covered a large territory. In 1996 I joined my company catastrophe team as a claim handler. I enjoyed the travel and opportunity to help people recover after large loss events. I was promoted to claim trainer in 1998 and later moved over to be a claim reinspector in 2001. In 2009 I was promoted to catastrophe team manager. I enjoy the travel and challenges with setting up and managing catastrophe operations. I have been married since 1989 and have three daughters. I have one in college, one in high school and the youngest in junior high school. We moved from Texas to central Illinois in 2010. We love the Summer and Fall here. I hold AINS, AIC, API, AIM and CPCU Insurance industry designations. I am currently working to complete the CLU designation through American University. I graduated from LSU with a bachelors degree in history and later received an MBA degree from Texas A&M-Commerce.
