About Don Seitz

As an experienced attorney, entrepreneur, and professor, I have a diverse professional background that spans over 15 years in law, real estate, and business. My career has been shaped by a combination of strategic thinking, leadership, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. As the Founder and CEO of Modern Property Groups, I scaled an $80 million real estate business from the ground up, acquiring and managing over 1,200 rental units, and achieving triple-digit growth each year until its successful sale. Through this venture, I honed my expertise in real estate acquisition, portfolio management, and financial analysis, while leading a team of 28 employees and overseeing more than $1 million in monthly rent collections. Currently, I serve as Director of the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic and Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Missouri School of Law, where I teach and mentor the next generation of lawyers and entrepreneurs. My courses, including entrepreneurship, business law, and land use controls, equip students with the practical skills needed to navigate legal and business challenges. In addition, I provide legal guidance to startups and small businesses, offering strategic insights into regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and intellectual property issues. Beyond law and education, I continue to be involved in real estate investments. The current portfolio focus is on maintaining strong financial returns. Additionally, as a U.S. veteran, I bring resilience, discipline, and leadership to everything I do, whether managing a personal real estate portfolio or guiding entrepreneurs through legal challenges.
