About Don T.

Most people put their family, personal health, and finances on top of the list of things they care about. Whenever we purchase something, we want to be confident of its value and the company selling it. Therefore, I decided early in my career that I would only provide helpful services and products to people. Twenty years later I am proud to say that my professional experience has largely been shaped by working at establishments that truly cared about human values. Yes, I might be a seasoned Account Manager and my focus is on achieving targets but what wins my clients over is my empathetic nature. The majority of my effort is put in understanding client circumstances and their requirements; and with that understanding, on advising them on a best possible course forward. Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect & Excellence by Leadership (ICARE)- these are the simple values I try to live by everyday. What makes me go to work is the prospect of enhancing the lives of my clients. Equally significant to me are the possibilities my employer and I might be able to achieve together. Traveling and maintaining strong relationships with business partners? Check. Demonstrating the values of my employer's range of services through relatable story-telling and direct linking to personal needs? Check. Mapping out regular territory plans while elevating my skills and performance on each sales cycle? Check. These are the things I do best. I am not shy of embracing modern methods of engaging clients through the sales process and as such continually upgrade my knowledge personally via self-paced learning. Use of new technologies for purposes of work comes intuitively to me and when needed with proper training. And while my academic achievements educated me, it was the real-world and my profession that would finally allow me to comprehend. Besides work, I actively participate in my community where I strive to be a role model.
