About Don Weigel

Don Weigel has over 15 years of professional experience organizing and managing political and non-profit campaigns and public events around the country. He has served as a press secretary, communications director, event manager, field director, fundraiser, grassroots organizer, issue advocacy director, campaign manager and chief strategist for dozens of issue advocacy and political campaigns for municipal, state, and federal elections in New York, Colorado, Alabama, Georgia and Hawai‘i. He has also trained activists, elected officials, and non-profit organizations in more than 25 states. Don has excelled in working with diverse communities on a wide variety of projects in large part because he is able to quickly understand, appreciate and adapt to the local landscape. Whether organizing a national press event in New York City, building an advocacy and training organization from the ground-up in Atlanta, running a well-established, statewide political machine in Colorado, managing a dark-horse campaign in Montgomery, or helping a young city councilman build his national portfolio in Honolulu he has seen success by being able to be detail-oriented while never losing sight of the overall vision and goal for his clients. Don has managed operations with as few as two, and as many as 20 staffers and is as comfortable going door-to-door for grassroots operations as he is managing press or fundraising events with nationally recognized figures.
