My medical career has included Family, Internal, and Emergency Medicine. I have had uninterrupted FT work in Northern Indiana, and have held several Medical Director positions. My recent tenure with the VA in South Bend, IN has ended. I have stayed with my parent company of 10 years, Valor Healthcare, as a VA contractor. One distinct advantage of working with the VA is that I have built my skills in adult Internal Medicine, mostly men's health and geriatrics. Valor is an excellent company, and I would gladly stay with them indefinitely. Unfortunately, they no longer have local contracts. My present assignment requires that I travel every week for the next 6 months. I am seeking a position in the following- Family or Internal Medicine, preferably outpatient clinics - Administrative/Medical Director - Innovative technologies (e.g. Telemedicine)- Men's health, geriatrics, nursing homes, concierge, Medical Home model - Corporate leadership, consulting - Writing, speaking, promoting, contract submission/reviews (I am self-publishing a book series and enjoy technical and historical writing)- Medical-Legal consulting, malpractice case reviews for attorneys, insurance companies, healthcare corporations (I have vast experience in this) I prefer local positions with regular office hours, but am flexible, will consider travel, am willing to learn new skills (I have an interest in wound care and cardiology). I am open to pharmaceuticals, medical technology companies, innovators. I am a team player, self starter, and take initiative. I would gladly consider traditional physician roles or entering a new related industry. With my medical-legal experience, I would consider any position related to arbitration or mediation in healthcare risk management and litigation. Writing is a hobby, a skill, and a passion.
