About Donald Bevers

Skills and knowledge developed over a 35-year professional policing career with the Toronto Police Service. This includes over 28.5 years as a sworn officer and 7 years as a civilian manager in charge of Corporate Planning and now Records Management Services. I am a highly competent and competitive manager, self-motivated with excellent communication and planning skills. I pride myself in meeting challenges, taking on new initiatives, motivating and/or mentoring team members and working with the community. I am a problem solver with proved strengths in executive operations, investigations, special event management and the development and/or implementation of new procedures within the policing profession. This is accomplished through my ability to identify the issues, prioritize the tasks and organize responsibilities in the most efficient and effective manner. Between my uniform and civilian roles with the Police Service, I spent 10 months with the Toronto Transit Commission working in the role of the Emergency Planning Officer under Mr. John O'Grady, Chief Safety Officer in the then Safety Department.
