About Donald Olds

Donald is a division manager responsible for the leadership development of 26 property managers and their staffs who manage large-scale, multi-unit communities totaling homes. He works with his team each day to provide 34 HOA and POA community boards with the best available advice regarding the day-to-day and strategic long-term management of their properties. His prior experience includes property management, community banking, commercial and installment lending, operations and corporate finance/administration followed by an extensive philanthropic career providing professional and other non-paid services to support numerous organizations including The Boy Scouts of America, Friends of Kennesaw Mountain, and The Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club. His core skills include: Business Management, Risk Management, Project Management, Financial Forecasting, Budgeting, Due Diligence, Disaster Recovery, Accounting, Public Offering, Acquisition, Customer Relations, Portfolio Management, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable Donald was the 2018 Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Volunteer of the Year and has earned The President's Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service for his hours of service with the Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club. KMTC is a 100+ member volunteer organization that supports the nation's most popular battlefield park through trail maintenance and park ambassadors. He currently serves as club president, a trail crew leader, a trail ambassador, and has also been responsible for the Boy Scout Eagle Scout program at the park, mentoring over 135 Eagle Scouts in the past. Donald was an integral part of the trail clubs 2014 Hartzog Award given to most outstanding volunteer service organization in the national park system. He also is a founding member of the Friends of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. Founded in July of 2020, the group raises funds to support the acre park through enhanced interpretation program and trail maintenance projects. He is a 2015 Silver Beaver Award recipient with the Atlanta Area Council Boy Scouts of America and while he has a 25-year history of several leadership positions in Scouting, he currently serves as the Atlanta Area Council Membership Operations Chair, helping to recruit youth to Scouting in recent years.
