About Donald Parsons

Since 1994 I have been working as a Sales Manager for Appalachain Log Structures in South Carolina. Having built a log home in 1992 it was a good experience to bring to the job. After graduating college in 1980 with a BS in Air Transportation Technology with a Minor in Flight Technology I have worked in Sales and Marketing for two commuter airlines (AeroMech in West Virginia and Dolphin Airlines in Florida), a start-up passenger carrier (Florida West a division of Florida Air Cargo) and a Major air carrier, Piedmont Airlines. After leaving the aviation industry I became involved with a Tour Wholesaler, TBI Tours (a division of Japan Travel Bureau) and started out as a Regional Sales Manager covering 9 states to eventually covering most of the East Coast. Working in both the airline and travel industry; the exposure to several other cultures worldwide has given me a well rounded view of our global economies and helped me in exporting our Log Home products to China, Jamaica, and Mexico. Specialties: For Log Home Sales I have, Project estimating, comparison shopping, builder technical support, budgeting for the Region, training new sales staff/independent representative, customer service resolution.
